Reporting into Finance Director for CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) Region, the Finance Director CZ / SK is responsible for maximizing financial performance and driving business growth as well as risk management of the Affiliate’s operations. This is achieved through acting as a strategic partner, leading the Finance Team, providing guidance to internal and external stakeholder and leading activities such as: managing the P&L, optimizing Operational Excellence, driving Finance Transformation, supporting financial reporting & Data interpretation, & securing Internal Controls and Compliance & maximizing synergies.
- Partner with & provide guidance to the General Manager and affiliate team, providing strategic support in the decision making.
- Be a trusted advisor, proactively monitoring & identifying opportunities and risks as they arise to consistently deliver on the business objectives.
- Effectively and clearly communicate actual results with variance analysis and commentary to internal and external stakeholders.
Finance Team Management & support to Internal & External Stakeholders
- Provide leadership to build, maintain and develop a strong, high-performing AbbVie Finance Team (overall team size approx. 20 team members)
- Act as a single point of contact for GM and affiliate teams on relevant financial topics
- Effectively collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders (e.g., HR, Financial shared services, Audit, Tax, CoEs etc.)
P&L Management
- Manage & supervise the budget planning cycles: Last Best Estimate - LBE, Update, Plan, LRP, Entity plan.
- Risk & Opportunities Assessment:
Operational Excellence (demand, supply & customer service) in conjunction with the GM
- Lead, enhance & maintain the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to ensure that sales forecasts are both challenging and achievable and that product demand and supply are appropriately managed and guaranteed.
- Monitor variables affecting supply and distribution performance and ensure corrective action.
- Supervise key distributor relationships; ensure effective inventory management, good DSO and timely collections.
Financial Reporting and Data Interpretation
- Coordinate collaboration between Financial Shared Services (FSS) and local team
- Supervise the monthly analysis to include appropriate variance analysis.
- Manage the tracking and analysis of actuals versus budget for Affiliate, brands, functions and specific campaigns.
- Provide actual monthly and quarterly financial data and analysis.
- Lead the affiliate internal and external reporting/consolidation.
- Ensure that adequate internal financial controls, Corporate Policies and administrative procedures are established, followed & enhanced.
- Assure the right level of internal controls and analysis.
- Ensure financial results are recorded in compliance with AbbVie financial policies.
- Responsible for signing statutory financial statements of the legal entities across the Affiliate.
- Business/Financial/Accounting bachelor’s or master’s Degree
- Broad financial management and control experience (min 10 years)
- Business performance experience (i.e. Commercial, Financial Planning and Analysis)
- Experience in dealing with international accounting issues, including exchange and entity planning.
- Experience in multinational companies with matrix environment
- People Leadership: experience (managing and leading an organization)
- Experience leading complex projects
- Experience liaising with external authorities.
- International experience preferred.
- Fluent English
